Today, in Marib and the temporary capital, Aden, King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief has launched the project of ” Winter Bag” in partnership with Selah Foundation for Development, the implementing partner of the project.
The project aims 5,600 families which approximately equals 33, 600 citizens in 11 governorates ( Sana’a, Albaidha, Taiz, Addaleh, lahej, Shabowa, Hadhramout, Aden and Almehrah).
During the launching of the project which covers the governorates of Aden, Lahej, and Addhaleh, deputy-governor, on behalf of the local authority Mr. Salah Adda’oodi has expressed his sincere appreciations and thankfulness to his Majesty, the King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz on behalf of the local authority for the unlimited on-going support in the field of relief and accommodation. Besides, Mr. Adda’oodi hopes that all organizations and societies should continue helping and provide supports to the displaced people due to their difficult living conditions.
In this context and while launching this project, Mr. Abdedrabouh Meftah, the deputy governor of Marib governorate said, “The project of Winter Bag aims to provide help to 2300 displaced families from the governorates of Marib, Sana’a, Aljuof, and Albaidha. Mr. Meftah, also, has directed his warm thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people for their blessing efforts to help Yemeni people in these hard circumstances. Mr. Meftah has added the inhabitants of Marib governorate these days are about three million people distributed over refugee centers and they are in need of on-going support and relief.
On the other hand, the field director of the project, Mr. Salim Bamuslem has pointed out that the project targets 11 governorates and the number of beneficiaries is 33600 thousand individuals and 5600 families. The project implies to distribute 67600 pieces for each family. He also has stated that the project includes distributing blankets, sweaters for girls and boys, pajamas for men and ladies and hats for children of poor displaced families. Likewise, Mr. Bamuslem has highly appreciated the King and the people of Saudi Arabia Kingdom for their generous support to Yemeni people and he has thanked the local authorities in the targeted governorates for the facilities they have provided to ease their mission.
The opening ceremony has been attended by the representatives of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Aden governorate Mr. Abdulla Attayar and the representative in Marib Ms. Radhia Alnnajar, the representative of Aden governor Ms. Afrah Jaber, the general director of Marib directorate the head of the local council Mr. Mohammad Frhan Ben Jalal, the manager of the executive unit of displaced people management in Marib, Mr. Saif Muthnna and the general directors of Nahim and Albaidha directorates.
