As part of efforts to enhance the sustainability of water resources and provide innovative solutions to environmental challenges, site receipts for the first component of the “Enhancing Water Security with Renewable Energy” project in Hadhramaut Governorate have been completed
The project includes drilling 13 wells in 7 districts distributed along the coast and valley of Hadhramaut, with the aim of providing sustainable water sources that enhance water security in the governorate.
The receiving process witnessed the presence of representatives of the beneficiary entities, including the local water and sanitation corporation, and water project committees, where the targeted sites were inspected to ensure their readiness for the start of drilling and implementation work.
This project is a strategic step towards enhancing water security in Hadhramaut Governorate, which contributes to improving the quality of life for local residents in rural areas and cities by providing sustainable solutions to water challenges.
It should be noted that the project benefits 445,000 direct beneficiaries and more than 1.7 million indirect beneficiaries.
